3rd Kits
The Liverpool 3rd kit is most often worn when playing in Europe. In recent seasons Liverpool have proved very successful in Europe having won the UEFA Cup, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup all within the last decade and in the years they haven’t won the tournament they have always reached the latter stages and have come close on a number of occasions to adding to their tally of European titles.
This season has not bee so fortunate for the European football shirt and although Liverpool are still in the Europa League they were knocked out of the Champions League earlier than anyone expected. This season then the European 3rd kit has been used a little less than was originally hoped.
The new Liverpool 3rd kit for the 2010-11 season will be the first 3rd shirt to have the new sponsor Standard Charter. Carlsberg are the current Liverpool sponsors and they have their name emblazoned over all of the Liverpool merchandise, however this will change for the new season with Standard Charter taking centre stage in the middle of the new Liverpool kits.
